

Alberta Lois ("Penny") Strang passed away February 20, 2015. Born in Vermontville, MI on January 9, 1942 to Albert J. and Lois M. (Wyble) Rich, Penny attended Eaton Rapids High School, graduating in 1960 as Salutatorian. She received her associate's degree from Pasadena (CA) City College where she marched in the Rose Parade in 1961 and 1962. She returned to Michigan and received her bachelor's and master's degree from Michigan State University in education. She began her teaching career at Ells School, a one room country school, and after more than 45 years of teaching, she retired from Morrice Area Schools in 2010.
Penny is survived by her daughter, Heather Strang, her sister, Pat (PT) MacMillan, her brother, Al (Kathy) Rich, her nephews and their wives and children, Thad, Charamy, Camden Cleary and Kyler Butterworth and Ty, Camille, Taylor, Caleb and Sydney Cleary. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Doug Strang, Jim (Sue) Cleary and lifetime friend, David Bone. She was preceded in death by her husband Neil S. Strang, her father, her mother and her brother-in-law, Andy MacMillan.
She will be missed by so many because she touched so many during her life. A memorial service for Penny will be from 1-4 PM on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Eagle Eye Golf Course in Bath, Michigan.
