Anthony Harris Jr.

Of Lansing

Age 17, died February 2, 2011; born May 12, 1993 in Lansing, Michigan. Anthony was a student at Holt High School and was a referee with the City of Lansing Parks and Recreation Department. He played football and ran track for Holt High School. He also ran track for Great Lakes Track Club. He enjoyed hanging with his friends, and loved watching and analyzing sports. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Toribio and Teresa Luera. Surviving are his parents Anthony Harris, Sr. and Dalia Luera-Harris; 4 brothers, Toribio, Davonté, Dominique, and Thomas; 6 sisters, Jamiya, Anitra, Mariah, Chacora, Toni, and Danica; paternal grandparents, Andrew McClinton of Chicago and Eula Wilson of Mississippi; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. A funeral service will take place on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Dr. James Pierce officiating at Life Changers Christian Center, 3000 W. Miller Road, Lansing, Michigan. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Anthony Harris, Jr. memorial fund in care of Fifth Third Bank, 6446 South Cedar Street, Lansing, Michigan 48911. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing.
