Bessie Perks

of Lansing, MichiganAge 59, entered her eternal life on Friday, February 22, 2008. Bessie was born December 26, 1948 in Eunice, Louisiana and was a resident of Lansing for the past 42 years. She was employed at Ingham Regional Medical Center-Greenlawn Hospital for over 23 years. Bessie was preceded in death by her parents, Olena & Launey Coward; sister, Patricia Dyer, and 2 brothers, Johnnie and David Coward. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Sharrall Monique Perks; 5 sisters, Mathilda C.(Jerry) Thomas, Sylvia (Douglas) Pratt, twins, Olena M. Roberts and Olivia M. Coward, and Lisa (Donald) Lewis; 4 brothers, Dr. William J. Coward, Loney Coward, Jr., Daniel Coward, and Ronnie (Oretha) Coward, and host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday with the Funeral Liturgy at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 27, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing, with Rev. Michael O?Brien of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church presiding. Rite of committal will be in Louisiana at St. Mathilda?s Catholic Church Cemetery.
