

A devoted Christian, Betsy lived a life of faith, love, and service. She was a longtime and faithful member of the Church of Christ and found great joy in the fellowship of her church family. Betsy was a loving wife, a caring mother, and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also a gifted nurse, known for her compassion and willingness to help anyone in need, and a talented gardener who found peace and purpose in nurturing life from the soil.
Betsy is survived by her beloved husband, Wallace G. Lawrence; her children, Cynthia (Russell) Lyman and Randall (Joyce) Perry; her stepson Jason Lawrence; her son-in-law, Gary Belich; her grandchildren: Bruce (Chris) Ott, Jason Belich, Brandy (Reid) Jones, Ray (Christy) Perry, Steve (Kayla) Perry, Randall (Jessica) Perry, and Sam Perry. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Alexis Ott, Alyssa Ott, Austin Jones, Kennedy Jones, Taylor Perry, Reilly Perry, Haleigh Perry, Previze Perry, Landon Perry, Lilly Lanagan, and Wesley Schram; and her sisters, Patsy (Joe) Seratt and Doreen (Terry) McGiffin.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond E. Perry; her brother, James David Don King; and her sister, Buena Myers-Smally. Betsy was joined in heaven by her daughter Lena Belich on May 26, 2025.
A funeral service celebrating Betsy’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home (900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing), with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
