Beverly Ann Jackson

Beverly was born on December 23, 1929 in Lansing, Michigan to May (Howe) and John Beardslee. She was employed as a social worker with the State of Michigan for 25 years before her retirement. Before her many years of service with the state, she previously worked at Reo and Heatherwood Farms. She was a devoted member of Pilgrim Congregational Church in Lansing and taught Sunday school class there for several years.

Beverly loved to sing and dance. She belonged to singing and dancing groups throughout her life and enjoyed big band music with her husband. Beverly also found enjoyment in crocheting, tending to her floral garden, taking trips to Higgins Lake, and fishing on Lake Michigan. More than anything, Beverly adored her beloved grandchildren.

Beverly is survived by her daughter, Mary A. Bogle (Raymond); son, Michael Stanley (Katie); grandchildren, Joshua, Jennifer, Jessica, David, and John Patrick; six great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her former husband, Richard Stanley; her late husband of 25 years, Wayne Jackson; daughter, Terri Lynn Stanley; sisters, Lillian and Joyce; parents, May and John Beardslee; and her beloved pets, her dog Lola and her two cats Big Ben and Baby Girl.

The family would like to give special thanks to all the McLaren nurses for their unwavering care and compassion.

A memorial service for Beverly will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Gorsline Runciman Tiffany Chapel, 3232 West Saginaw Street, Lansing, MI 48917.
