He is survived by his children, Michelle (Eric) and Matthew (Rebeckah); his grandchildren, Alisandra and Alexander; and his brothers, Gary and Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Genevieve.
Bruce was an accomplished Civil Engineer until his retirement. He then filled his time volunteering at Steam Railroading Institute, his alma mater Michigan Tech University, and WKAR. He enjoyed traveling, especially Northern Michigan and spending time with his family.

A celebration of Bruce's life will be held at a later date.
