Chuck worked for Lansing Corrugated for 29 years. Being the hard worker that he was, he maintained being a handyman until his last days here with us.
Chuck was many things for so many people. A husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and a great friend. I’ve even heard stories about him being a great boyfriend. He always had a joke on his lips, looking to make light of a situation in anyway he could, although the humor wasn’t always understood, he thought he was funny.
All it took for it to be a good day for Chuck was a fishing pole, a dip in the lip, and his spit bottle. He loved spending time with everyone most all the time and when he wasn’t in the mood for it you would know. There is not enough words that could truly explain who Chucko was but to say the least he was one of a kind.
Preceding Chuck in death was his father, Joseph Rogers; mother, Texas Anna Turner; brother-in-law, Larry Fields, and niece, Dominique Hawn.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Rogers; brothers, Robert and Billy Rogers; sisters, Peggy Cottingham and Glenda Baugher; daughters, Wendy Rogers, Samantha (Lonnie) Summers, Tabitha Fields, Priscella (Danielle) Trevino and Khloe Rogers; sons, Charles Rogers and Andres Rogers; an extremely large amount of nieces and nephews; an abundant amount of grand children and great grand children; and his two dear ladies, Lorraine Sigle and Bonnie Travers.
A funeral service for Charles will be held Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 East Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912, preceded by a visitation from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
