Christen G. Sherwood

Lansing, MI

Born June 11, 1949 in Lansing, MI, the son of the late Gerald and Phyllis Sherwood, passed away April 18, 2012 at the age of 62. Christen was a resident of Lansing his whole life. He retired as President of UAW Local 652. He enjoyed racing and was the owner of his own race team and was an avid golfer. Surviving to cherish his memory are his daughter, Amy (Douglas) Mumby; grandchildren, Christen, Rembrandt and Michelangelo; great granddaughter, Evelyn; and sister, Kathleen DeForest as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 27, 2012 at UAW Local #652, 426 Clare St., Lansing, MI 48917 with the Rev. Tom Tarpley of Fowlerville First United Methodist Church officiating. The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation on Wednesday, April 25 and Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI.
