Cleophas “Sonny” Leo Rochon Jr., passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024. Born in Lansing, Michigan to Cleophas Rochon Sr. and Christina Marie Rochon on September 4, 1953. Sonny was a graduate of Sexton High School and a mechanic for the City of Lansing until he retired.
He loved giving and making others happy. Sonny’s smile, laughter, and loving personality are just a few things that will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew Sonny.
He is survived by sisters, Kathleen Yager, Linda (Gary) Eberly, Elizabeth (Kent) Stevenson; brothers, John (June) Rochon, and Ronald (Robin) Rochon and several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Thank you to everyone at Fresenius Kidney Care Lansing for not only being great caregivers but also precious friends through his journey with kidney failure. Donations in Sonny's name may be made to the Kidney Foundation, American Diabetes Association or charity of your choice.
Per Sonny’s wishes, cremation has taken place there will be no services.
