

?Del? was born October 2, 1931 in Houghton, MI, the son of Frank and Ida Duzek. He passed away on Monday, August 13, 2012, after a long struggle with Alzheimer?s. After completing Service in the U.S. Air Force, he worked in the Tool and Die Industry many years. Del retired from a job he loved in the Wood Model Shop of General Motors.
Foremost, family came first, enjoying many years camping, fishing, travel, and most of all, his accomplishments and relaxation in his wood shop where he created many beautiful projects, given to family and friends. Friendships enjoyed here and through the many years of wintering in Gulf Shores, Alabama are treasured.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving, devoted family; wife of 56 years, Arlene; daughters, Debi (Chuck) Keck, Julie (Tim) Suchodolski; grandson, Aaron Keck; brother, Jim (Audrey) Duzek; sisters, Bernice (John, deceased) Spehar, Doris (Joe, deceased) Swetich, Joy (Al) Thaler, and Fay (Roy) Hoyer. Also surviving are his extended family and friends. Del was predeceased by his parents and his sisters, Grace (Matt) Mattson and May (James) Frantz.
Visitation will be 10:30 to 11:30 AM followed by Funeral Services at 11:30 AM Friday, August 17, 2012 at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Rev. James E. Robinson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Del?s name to Alzheimer?s Association for research (envelopes provided by the funeral home) are appreciated, as we must conquer this dreaded disease.
