Dennis R. Irrer

Born November 5, 1927 in St. Johns, MI, to Robert and Louise (Mohnke) Irrer, passed away September 15, 2011 at the age of 83. Dennis retired in 1989, after 34 years of service with the Lansing Board of Water and Light. He enjoyed woodworking and golf and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his beloved wife of 64 years, Helen; daughters, Mary (Greg) Ellison, Barbara (Hampton) Hobson; sons, Robert D. Irrer, Steve (Shelley) Irrer; grandchildren, Ryan and Renee Ellison, Katie (Brian Davis) Hobson, Matt Hobson, Scott and Sam Irrer. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing with the Rev. Wesley Emerson officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M.
