Doni R. Hatcher

Doni Rae Hatcher was born on July 26, 1964 in Lansing. She was the daughter of the late Donald E. and Judy (Benedict) Hatcher. Doni passed away on May 26, 2015 at the age of 50. She was a life-long resident of Lansing and will be missed by many people in the community. Doni had a Love for Life! Her disability never held her back from achieving anything she wanted in life and her perseverance was an inspiration to all those whom she came into contact with. Her miniature body concealed a huge personality. She was a “take-charge” kind of person who always made sure that her opinion was heard. Her family and friends will miss her dearly, but we all know that she is dancing in heaven free of pain and restraint. Surviving to cherish her memory are her siblings, sister, Krista Jo Leverett, “I.M. Tickles the Clown”, brother, Kevin Dee (Karen) Leverett and sister, Bethany Lynn Meade; aunt, Patricia Lee Bayes; uncle, John Lee Benedict; nieces and nephews, Paul Hamilton Jones, Alexander Leverett Jones, James Robert Meade, Connor McKenzie Meade, Taylor Lynn Meade and Delaney Rae Leverett; and former husband and companion, Sean Johnson. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
