Donora Jean Stauffer was born to the loving parents of David and Mary (Evertts) Peabody on September 19, 1943 and was called to heaven on January 26, 2021 at the age of 77 to be with her Lord. Donora was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. She is survived by to cherish her memories her loving husband Richard of 58 years of happiness, her two darling children son Richard (Katrina) Stauffer, Jr., and daughter Pamela (Ben) Peet; six precious grandchildren and two adorable great-grandchildren and her protective brother Michael (Karen) Odenwald.
Donora enjoyed craft shows, but her favorite craft show was the Dockside Craft Show in St. Ignace. During her spare time from being a wife and homemaker she loved to knit and crochet and make her children books. Donora was a woman of faith and taught Sunday school for 18 years in various churches where she worshiped. What brought joy to her was music, family and creating a loving and safe environment for her family. Although Donora will not be with us, we will remember her warm smiles, tender kisses and precious hugs, she will be greatly missed and loved forever.
A Celebration of Life will take place on February 2, 2021, at Central Free Methodist Church, 828 N. Washington Ave., Lansing, MI, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Joanna DeWolf officiating. Also the family will receive guests one hour prior. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens following the funeral service.
