Dorothy Richards

Dorothy S. Richards Lansing, MI Age 83, our loving mother and grandmother was called home to her Lord on January 14, 2013. Born August 6, 1929 in Baltic, MI the daughter of Nestor & Lempi (Onkalo) Soyring. Dorothy was active member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where she was also active in the Library Circle. She enjoyed jig saw puzzles and gardening. Surviving are her three children, Thomas E. Richards, Michael D. (Maria) Richards, and Marion K. (Richard) Schlicker; her five grandchildren, Kelsey Schlicker, Megan Schlicker, Neil (Jessica) Richards, Stephanie (Mark) Ford, and Heather Richards; sister, June Eaton; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Frank E. in 2003; her parents, sister, Eleanor Kaarre. Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Thursday in the Tiffany funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 18th, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7000 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Pastor Roger Straub. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 A.m. Friday at church. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or the American Hearth Assoc. in memory of Dorothy.
