

Douglas was a kind, outgoing man who seemed to know everyone in Lansing. He worked as a lab technician for the State of Michigan, was active with the Knights of Columbus, and after retirement, volunteered with Helping Hands. He enjoyed traveling throughout Michigan, spending time with his grandchildren, and above all, caring for others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Jan Mosely, and his daughter, Tracy Ervin.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Linda (Bob) Chamberlain and Craig (Claudia Davila) Ervin; his grandchildren, Nolan, Chris, Liam, and Kiley; and his sister, Miriam Szymczak.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 12:00pm at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass.
