Edward H. Haynes Sr.

Born April 15, 1921 in Thornton, N.H., went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2011. He served in the Army for 4 years in the Philippines, New Guinea and many other places. He was employed at Oldsmobile for 30 years. Edward was a member of Judson Memorial Baptist Church where he served faithfully for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Euna Mae; 3 brothers and one sister. Surviving are his two children, Cynthia and Eddie H. Haynes, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, with the Rev. Zachary Bartels and Pastor Cliff Raymond of Judson Memorial Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
