Evelyn P. Lamb
28 June , 1928 – 18 October , 2019
Evelyn Pearl Lamb.
Birth: 28 June 1928. Death: 18 October 2019.
A youthful transplant from Tennessee, Mrs. Lamb lived the remainder of her life in Lansing, Michigan. Evelyn worked at J.C. Penny, the Lansing State Journal, where she retired from, and joined her husband, Harmon Ray Lamb, at the family business, B&H Industries.
She is survived by a Michigan family: son Douglas (Kim) and grandchildren Joshua (Heidi) and Melissa (Jason) and great-grandchildren Evie, Broderick, Maya, Corbin, Damin, Isak, and Avery.
Her Oklahoma family includes son David (Jana) and grandchildren Daniel (Kristen), Carrie, Bethany, and great-grandchildren Corbin, McKenna, Keith, and Wyatt.
Evelyn had a splendid marriage to husband Harmon who preceded her in death on 1 March 2001.
Mrs. Lamb's passions were family, church, home (she was a stickler for details), and a garden full of flowers she tended well. One granddaughter commented, "Grandmother's hands always felt like satin and smelled like perfume." Fitting words.

Miss Evelyn, Miss Evelyn. I loved you so. You took care of me as a little girl, when my mother was too ill. You reassured me and you gave the quiet resolve I needed to move thru a most difficult time. You came to Cal and Pam's Memorial and you reassured me as you did when I was a child that I was loved and God would never let me go. I can't wait to see you guys. I know you will be one of the first to meet me when it is my turn to go to Heaven....you will smile at me with that mischievous look while Mr. Lamb will put his arm around me and start quizzing me on my behavior....just as he always did.
Thinking of you guys. Know I will pray for you. Xoxo

So sorry to hear about Evelyn’s passing. She was my dear friend for many years and I dearly loved her. I’ve been fighting cancer and just found out about her passing. She will always hold a special place in my heart! My sympathy to each of you and I love you!

I thank God for Evelyn’s positive influence upon my life. Evelyn and my mother were first cousins, but they loved each other as sisters. I remember that she always spoke to me with kindness and encouragement when I was a child. As an adult, when I was near death in ICU in the hospital, it was Evelyn who sat by my bedside until my immediate family could arrive. She will always hold a special place in my heart.

Condolences to the family. I fondly remember Mrs. Lamb from Bethany Baptist Church. She and my mother were good friends.

Dear Lamb family, my deepest sympathy on the loss of your dear Mother and Grandmother. Harmon and Evelyn came into my life upon the marriage of my sister. Our parents became fast friends and business partners. We attended church and family functions together. In my mind it is always Harmon and Evelyn. It is odd to think of them apart. So I know it is a comfort to know they are together again. Having lost both mine and my husband's parents, I know grief does not go away. Your grief will not continue to carry this sting forever. I hope you can soon come to the gentle embrace of just missing them and knowing that they loved you. You will all remain in my thoughts through these next difficult days. Remember to love and cherish one another as your family is their true legacy. Loving thoughts, Jackie Jenkins Van Liew.
