Francisco "Frank" Suarez Hidalgo of Fowler, MI passed away Thursday December 31st, at the age of 67, in Ann Arbor, MI. Frank was born in Seguin, TX in December of 1953 and moved to Michigan in his teenage years. He enjoyed his work family at Board of Water and Light for many years, fishing, being the Grillmaster, and spending time with his large family. Any opportunity Frank had to gather with his siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, he was there with a smile on his face and words of wisdom.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Esperanza Hidalgo, as well as, daughter Teanna Romero. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Hidalgo; children, Gina Hidalgo, Dina (Justin) Barnhart, Frank "Tiger" Hidalgo, and Ada-Monic Hidalgo; stepdaughters, Shannon (Rudy) Garcia, Lola (Moises) Garcia; siblings, Rosa (Arturo) Garcia, George Hidalgo, Albert (Debbie) Hidalgo, Javier Hidalgo, Dora Gonzales, Daniel (Virginia) Hidalgo, Lucy Hidalgo, Elvira (Rene) Marinez; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Flowers can be sent to and visitation will be located at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Lansing Chapel 900 E. Michigan Avenue Lansing, MI 48912 on Sunday and Monday January 10th and 11th from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral and burial services will be privately held for family only.
A very special thank you to everyone that has cared for Frank over the years including his family practice in St. Johns, the caregivers at his dialysis center, the transplant team in Ann Arbor, and the entire team at the University of Michigan that cared for him in his last days. We appreciate the work you do because without you the memories that have been made over the past few years would have not been possible.
