Gerald Dean Davis

Gerald Dean Davis, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 in Lansing, Michigan. He was born March 10, 1930 in Battle Creek, Michigan. He grew up in Lansing and graduated from Eastern High School. He worked for 43 years at the Schafer Bakery. His hobbies were photography and technology. He really enjoyed watching DetroitTigers and Lions and and college football. His loves were spending time with our mom and family.

He married Barbara Maxine (Strang) on July 3, 1965, and she preceded him in death in 2016. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Rosa Pearl (Henry) and Swain Lee Davis; his stepfather, Clarence Reaves; his brother, Lee Wayne Davis; and his sister, Delores Riggs. Brother and sister-in-laws, as well as nieces and nephews.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Sally M. Davis, Bradford L. Davis, and Tonja S. Davis; his grandchildren, Joe (Kara) Davis Sr., Jessica (Scott) Whited, Karen (Shannon) Shaw, Amy (Kiel) Ridenour-Wilson, Rachel Ridenour, and Ronald (Jania) Ridenour III; his great-grandchildren, Joe (Stephanie)Davis Jr., Collin Davis, Logan Davis, William Davis, Blake (Melanie) Bozigian, Spencer Bozigian, Marcus Bozigian, Isabella Klimaszewski, Alyssa Shaw, Derek Shaw, Devon Ridenour, Kadon Ridenour-Wilson, Ariella VanKranenburg, Skiler Herrin, Elijah Ridenour. Sister-in-law Joyce Strang. And many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, 1709 E Mt Hope Ave, Lansing, MI 48910 on Friday, June 14th, at 2:30pm.
