Gerald Dean Klingbeil

He was born on November 25, 1956, to Edith and Walter Klingbeil. Before beginning his longtime career with General Motors, Gerald proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a National Defense Service Level Marksman.

Gerald is survived by his loving daughter, Melissa (Kris) Barrett; grandchildren, Ryan and Mara Barrett; siblings, Dee, Jim, Walter, Betty, and Patty; former wife, Christina Klingbeil; many nieces, nephews, and in-laws; and his dear friend, April Aubry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Walter, and his siblings, Myrtle, Judy, Linda, Tom, David, and Mary Jane.

A funeral service for Gerald will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Lansing Chapel, 900 E Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912. The committal will take place at 4:00 PM at Maple Grove Cemetery in Grawn, MI.

Gerald was known for his charming personality and spunky character that left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His memory will be deeply cherished and forever missed by all who knew and loved him.
