

Age 87, died April 8, 2013, born September 14, 1925 in Carson City, MI. He retired from the Board of Water and Light after 35 years of service. Hoss proudly served his country in the US Navy during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post #380, the Masonic Lodge #306 in Carson City and the VFW Post #701 in Lansing. Since 1959 he has been a member of the Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ. Hoss loved watching his grandkids play sports and was an avid MSU fan. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nellie M. (2013); son, David (2009); brother, Jake Churchill (2009). Surviving are his daughter-in-law, Vickie Churchill; grandchildren, Neele and Michael Churchill; niece, Alice Churchill and nephew, Gary Churchill. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 12, 2013, 11 am, at the Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ, 125 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Lansing, MI. Interment will follow in the Delta Center Cemetery, Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 2 – 4 and 6-8 pm at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
