She was born on February 8, 1958, in Lansing, Michigan, to Al and Gerry Jochen. She graduated from Waverly High School, where she formed friendships and memories that stayed with her through the years.
Jackie had a warm and generous spirit that touched everyone she met. She was known for her quick wit, big heart, and unwavering selflessness. Whether she was sharing a joke, lending a helping hand, or offering a listening ear, Jackie brought comfort and joy to the people around her.
She enjoyed bowling, playing cribbage, crafting, gardening, and was a lifelong animal lover. Her beloved dogs held a special place in her heart, and she cared for them with the same love and loyalty she showed to her family and friends.
Jackie is survived by her children, Albert Welch and Tamara Welch; grandchildren, ChristiAn, Havanna, Kayleena, Mary Ann, Adrianna, Brody, Riley, and Lilly; great-grandchild, Skylani; sister, Judy Spagnuolo; and nieces and nephews, Andrew Welch, Jessica Spagnuolo, and Paige Spagnuolo. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Welch and her niece, Katie Spagnuolo.
A visitation for Jackie will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Tiffany Chapel, 3232 W Saginaw St., Lansing, MI 48917.
Funeral Services and lunch will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4001 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Lansing MI 48910
