Jacquelyn (Jackie) is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph L. Karpach; son, Michael Joseph Karpach; brother, James Mackey and son-in-law, Christian Hodge.
Jacquelyn is survived by her son, Joseph (Connie Terry-Gearheart) Karpach; daughters, Judith (Christian) Hodge and Kathryn (Mark) Janczarek; grandchildren, Jacquelyn (Brad) Price, Mike (Dawn) Christian, Natasha Christian, Natoya Totten, Michelle Karpach, Anthony Hodge, Tess Janczarek, Joseph Hodge, John Janczarek, Rylie Janczarek, Elizabeth Janczarek, and great grandchildren, Xzaveon Christian, Trezdon Totten, Noah Lingle, Kenna Christian, Nyla Crampton, Mika Price, and Bella Price.
Jacquelyn loved to spend time with her family. She was a great story teller, especially about family history, and was very well versed in politics and current events. She was a great listener and provided a lot of wisdom, and could hold a conversation with anyone about any topic. Jacquelyn was a quick witted, feisty lady who held a lot of respect from the people who knew and loved her.
Jacquelyn enjoyed drawing and viewing pieces of art, especially her grandchildren's artwork. She was an avid reader especially, historical novels and poems. She had a talent for cooking and loved to experience new restaurants and recipes.
She had a great love for music especially the Bee Gee's, which was one of her favorite bands.
Jacquelyn enjoyed a wide variety of movies, such as The Sound of Music, The Song of Bernadette, It's a Wonderful Life, Christmas Story and Ghost.
She loved the catholic faith, which was very close to her heart as well as her Irish heritage. She was devoted to the blessed mother, relied on St. Anthony to help her find lost objects, and absolutely adored St. Jude.
A service for Jacquelyn will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Church of the Resurrection, 1527 East Michigan Ave. Lansing, MI 48912 at 10:00 a.m. with a one hour prior visitation.
Burial will take place at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery in Brownstown Township, MI at 1:30 p.m.
