James Dennis Cody, born December 21, 1955 joined his late wife Brenda and son James II to be with the Lord January 12, 2020. He is survived by his wife Annette Cody and his children Joshua and Nicole Cody, grandchildren Dylan and Jaysen, and step-children Amber (Tom) Tobolski, George and Margo Joubran and dog Ginger, his parents Kay and Dennis Cody, brothers Jeff, Jerry (Linda), and Jon (Karla) Cody and sister Julie Kilpatrick and many nieces and nephews. James’ most prized possession was his family and his close friends and the time he spent with them. He was a proud member of Local 333 Plumber’s and Pipefitter’s Union in which he lead as both President and Business Agent for a number of years. The most important thing to him was being there for those he loved. James enjoyed traveling, golfing and time at his cottage with his family, as well as traveling to Florida to see the ones he loved there. He was a supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and was involved in supporting the homeless community with the Loaves and Fishes shelter in Lansing. The family requests donations be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in honor of James in lieu of flowers.
