Janet Dee Smiley

Janet was born on November 11, 1940 in Mason, Michigan, the daughter of Harry and Melba Smiley and had three siblings, Richard, Anita and Beverly.

Janet was a fun and loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be missed by all. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, doing jigsaw puzzles, and playing board games with her family. She also enjoyed her flower garden and feeding the birds. She was an avid amateur photographer who loved photographing nature and her loved ones, especially her grandchildren. She remained a child at heart her entire life and particularly loved celebrating birthdays and holidays. She loved music and enjoyed dancing to Elvis or a good polka.

Janet worked several jobs including the Ingham County Sheriff Department in Mason, Michigan, and for Ingham County in Lansing, Michigan. She retired from Ingham County to care for her father as his health declined.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Melba Smiley; her brother, Richard Smiley; and sisters, Anita Hallock and Beverly Long. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Ronald Lundy, Floyd A. Morse III and Raymond Haynes.

She is survived by her children, Ronald C. (Lori) Lundy, Paul John (Brenda) Lundy, Kyle Gene Lundy and Kelly Jane Lundy; and her grandchildren, Amanda Lundy, Joshua Lundy, Justin Lundy and Shawn Lundy, all of Lansing, MI.

There will be no funeral service as Janet had stated she preferred cremation.
