Born in Lansing, MI on Friday, June 8, 1984 to Roxanne Burnham. She went on to graduate from Perry High School as class president. She would go on to the University of Michigan where she would double major in Marine Biology and Life Science. She went on to work at L.O. Eye Care aka Lansing Ophthalmology where she met her future husband, Philip Langfeldt of Lansing and step-children Tyler and Julianne Langfeldt, whom she adored and raised as if they were her own children. Phil, Jen, Tyler, and Juli became a family on Saturday, October 5, 2019. Philip, Jennifer, Tyler, and Julianne were residents of Potterville, MI for almost two years and of Holt, MI the three years before that. For the past few years, Jennifer loved to craft on her Cricut and more recently her sublimation. She loved crafting with Julianne, especially if the project was for one of her friends or family. She loved her Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and the University of Michigan whether it was watching the game on TV or attending a game in person. She loved to spend time with family and friends. She could often be found at Potterville High School sporting events that Tyler was participating in or one of Phil’s players were playing in or cheering for Julianne as she played soccer. Jennifer was a ray of sunshine in this world with her infectious smile and laugh. She had a way to help others and make them feel special. She had friends she considered sisters and brothers and their kids were her nephews and nieces. She was a blessing to us all and loved her family immensely.
Jennifer is survived by her spouse, Philip Langfeldt of Potterville; her step-children, Tyler and Julianne Langfeldt of Potterville; her mother, Roxanne Burnham of Perry; her grandmother, Linda Burnham of Morrice; Phil’s parents, Jack and Lori Langfeldt of Battle Creek; Phil’s siblings: Moriah (Daniel) Howard of Warren; Joshua (Amanda) Langfeldt of Holt; and Tabitha (Alex) Esbrook of Lake Orion; along with seven nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends that she considered her siblings. She was preceded in death by her Papa Jack Burnham, her great Aunt Norma, and along with Phil’s grandparents Bob and Shirley Heckroth.
A visitation for Jennifer will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Tiffany Chapel, 3232 West Saginaw St., Lansing, MI 48917. There will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony held this spring in Jennifer’s honor.
Jennifer loved sharing her knowledge and expertise with Julianne and Tyler, whether it was crafting, baking, planting flowers or painting the house. Even though some of those were hard work, she made it fun and they loved working by her side. Education was very important to Jennifer. College funds will be set up for her step-children, Tyler and Julianne. Anyone willing to give donations can give to Philip Langfeldt or Roxanne Burnham.
