

Jack graduated from Farwell High School in 1961. In 1962 Jack enlisted in the United States Navy where he would receive his Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He would serve four years of honorable service to his country. Jack worked and retired from General Motors Corporation after 40 years of service as the Quality Control Inspector and Automobile Test Driver.
Jack will be remembered for his love of his 86’ Ford F250, taking it to shows and passing out Hot Wheels cars to the children, he will be remembered for his commitment to his sobriety being a Sponsor and helping many with their struggles and also them helping him. He was proud to receive his 30 year chip for his dedication and commitment.
Jack always had a special touch some would say he was a perfectionist, always adding the perfect last touch or specific detail to any object or item.
Jack is survived by his son, Todd J. Allen; his sister, Vivian (Don) Bush; his friend, Billy (Sharran) Siedelburg; and his sister-in-law, Joan Allen.
Services will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 East Michigan Avenue, Lansing Michigan 48912. Visitation will start at 11 am – 1 pm with the funeral service starting at 1 pm.
Burial will take place Monday, October 11, 2021 at Fort Custer National Cemetery at 10:30 am.
