

John Martin Rosendahl died June 26, 2017 at McLaren Hospital at 71 years of age. He was born March 11, 1946 in Lansing to Elmer and Alma Rosendahl and is survived by his son John, brother George and sister Helen.
Following graduation from Everett High School, he served honorably in the Air Force and then worked in varied capacities for General Motors, mastering problems others passed on. After retirement, he sold advertising specialty products for the Lee Wayne Company.
John volunteered for numerous charities, serving as master of ceremonies and fundraiser to the benefit of the greater Lansing area. For over 31 years, he organized and sponsored the Great Northern Invitational for hundreds of golfers. He embraced life, good cigars and the camaraderie of fellow travelers, golfers, darters and gourmets and will be missed by his family and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing at 11:00 a.m. July 1, 2017 with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, those who desire may make a donation in John’s name to Wounded Warriors 230 W. Monroe St. Ste. 200 Chicago, IL 60606, Greater Lansing Food Bank, or a charity of your choice.
