

Born June 18, 1946 to parents, Clarence and Delores (Dishinger) Groff, Joseph "Joe" Clarence Groff passed away at age 75 on April 15, 2022. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Rick Groff. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; children Andrew (Kelly) Treharne, Lisa (Sam) Mineo, Brian (Sally) Groff, and Penny Groff; grandchildren, Alec Treharne, Tyler Davidson, and Alexia Groff; brothers, Gary (Pam) Groff and Willy (Kay) Groff; and sister-in-law, Sandy Groff.
Joe loved to travel. He and Kathy travelled the world together. Going from places like China, Germany, Italy, Spain, all the way to one of his favorite places they visited, Zimbabwe, Africa. He loved going to the beach. One of Joe's favorite past times was swimming. Joe proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a proud United States Postal Service worker for many years. He became a Physical Security Specialist there and later became the Postmaster in Plymouth, MI. Joe was a proud member of the VFW, the American Legion, the Lions Club, and the Republican Party. When asked what made him smile, Joe's answer was travelling, the beach, rainbows, and most importantly his family. Joe loved his family and being able to spend time with them to make lasting memories.
A visitation for Joseph will be held Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mt. Hope United Methodist, 501 E Mt. Hope Ave, Lansing, MI 48910, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
