Joyce Ellen Gill

Joyce was born on December 19, 1945, in Beaver Falls, Beaver County, PA to Joseph NeCody and Hannah Grace (Cearfoss) Gill, Sr. Joyce, who never married, took care for her parents until their deaths. Joyce was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School in 1963. Joyce went on to own and operate the Beaver Valley Motel, Beaver Falls, PA for 25 years. After her retirement, Joyce made her home with her sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Rev. Robert “Bob” Coval, in Ellwood City, PA. Upon her brother-in-law’s death, Joyce and Judy moved to Lansing, MI, to be nearer to Judy’s children and grandchildren.

Joyce was a faithful servant of God throughout her life and in her final years was a member of Christ the King Anglican Church in Lansing, MI. Joyce was a take charge person and the glue that held her family together. She was an avid Steelers Fan. She also enjoyed watching baseball with her brother-in-law, Bob. She loved animals and had pets of all kinds during her lifetime. Joyce especially loved her nieces/nephews, grand-nieces/nephews and great-grand nieces/nephews. She took great joy in having them come to her motel for a stay and spoiled them terribly while they were there.

Joyce is survived by sisters, Eve Pauletich, New Brighton, PA; Judy Coval, Lansing, MI; Margaret (Art) Koch, Ellwood City, PA; her brother, Joseph Gill, Jr., Beverly Hills, FL; and her nieces/nephews, Robert Pauletich, Jr., New Brighton, PA; Ruth (Robert) Dewhirst, Beaver Falls, PA; Gary Pauletich, Struthers, OH; Keri (Spencer) Perkins, Lansing, MI; Clifford Coval, Lansing, MI; Dale (Stacy) Koch, Ellwood City, PA; Steven Koch, Ellwood City, PA; Joseph (Pam) Gill, III, Beverly Hills, FL; and Paula Gill, Beverly Hills, FL.

Joyce was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Danny Maher; brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Isabelle Gill; brother-in-law, Robert Pauletich, Sr.; sister-in-law, Jean Gill; brother-in-law, Robert Coval; infant sister, Ruth Gill; and nieces/nephews, Cheryl (Kifer) Pauletich, Eric Gill, Lodema Pauletich, and Amy Pauletich.

Per Joyce’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Her cremains will be buried later at Clinton Cemetery, New Beaver, PA.
