Joyce Gloria Trinklein

Joyce Gloria Trinklein passed away and gained her heavenly wings on March 8, 2022 in Lansing, MI. She was born to Leo and Mary (Welch) Wroblewski in Detroit, MI and graduated from Hazel Park High School.

She is survived by her four children: Richard (Mary) Smith, Michael (Carol) Smith, Wendy (Darrell Brown) Collins and Jack Edward (Val) Martinez. She took great joy in spending time with her 16 grandchildren: Andrew, Austin, Anthony, Jared, Tyler, Adrian, Timothy, Juwan, Vanessa, Tara, Krista, Katy, Mya, Damari, Tiffany and Joshua & 8 great-grandchildren: Angelo, Jaxton, Brandon, Ambryell, Ka’Vion, Ginna, Titus and Zola. She fiercely loved all of us and you often heard her say, “Nobody messes with my family”, which always made us smile.

We know that she is rejoicing now in Heaven with family & friends who have preceded her in death, especially her parents, three sisters and one brother.

Joyce spent her career in the restaurant industry where she enjoyed cooking, serving her customers and making many friends along the way. She was a loving woman who never met a stranger. She enjoyed playing bingo, reading, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, sharing recipes, shopping and cheering on the MSU Spartans. However, more than anything else, she enjoyed being surrounded by family.

A visitation for Joyce will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 East Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI 48912, with a service to celebrate her life immediately following at 4:00pm.
