Judith Ann Foote

Born on August 19th, 1937, in Negaunee, Michigan, Judy grew up in Ishpeming and graduated from Ishpeming High School. In 1955, with lifelong friend Sharon, she embarked on a new chapter in Lansing where she worked as a Michigan Bell Operator.

Judy was introduced to Roland Foote by his sister, Evelyn. On August 26th, 1960, Judy married Roland, the love of her life. They shared over 63 years of marriage together.

Judy was known for her timeless elegance and grace. Her caring and loyal nature endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Whether it was a kind word, a helping hand, or a reliable presence, Judy touched the lives of those around her in profound ways.

Judy was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran church, involving herself in numerous women’s activities. Judy always volunteered and helped wherever she was needed. Judy was proud of her grandchildren and her Swedish/ UP heritage. She also enjoyed time spent with girlfriends, playing cards and dominoes with Dale and Edna and anything chocolate!

She is survived by her loving children, Steven Foote (Linda Foote) of Traverse City and Kathy Foote (Mark Warner) of Lansing. Judy's legacy extends to her cherished grandchildren: Hannah Clark (Charlie Clark) of Salt Lake City, Utah; Bryce Foote of Traverse City; and Jeremie Addiss of Traverse City. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Orletha Cox.

Judy Foote will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched with her warmth, kindness, and enduring love.

A funeral service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 528 N Martin Luther King Jr Blvd., Lansing, MI, on Monday, November 20th, 1:00 pm, followed by a Swedish Fika (coffee and sweets) to honor Judy. Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes is entrusted with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Judy’s memory may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 528 N Martin Luther King Jr Blvd., Lansing, MI.
