Karen L Brucks nee Maurer, age 74 and resident of Lansing MI died February 1, 2024. She received her Master’s degree from Michigan State University and retired from Lansing Community College in 2016 as the International Student Admissions Specialist. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and other crafts. Karen especially enjoyed walleye fishing on Lake Erie with her “Wally Buddies”.
Left to cherish her memory are Brother Mark (Laura) Carman and special friends Doug Sousa and Dana Green. A special thanks to Nancy Scott, R.N., Nurse Case Manager, who helped Karen and her family for many years, and Care Team Hospice for their help in the past several months. Services will be held on Saturday February 10th at 2 pm at the Lansing Chapel of the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home.
