

Of Lansing
At the age of 89, Karl went to his heavenly home on Monday, March 5, 2012. Karl was born August 7, 1922 in Marilla, Michigan, son of Edwin and Mabel Gilson. Karl served in the Army during World War II. He retired from Lansing Electric Company and later went to work for Avis Rent-A-Car. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and loved picking up agates at Lake Superior as well as Michigan State football. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Bonnie; son, Michael (Yolanda) Gilson; daughter, Lori (Steven) Fruk; dog, Diamond; grandchildren, Danielle, Michaelle, Joe, Allen and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10AM at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI., with the eulogy provided by Mr. Melvin Ott. The family will receive guests on Friday from 5PM to 8PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Deepdale Memorial Gardens, Lansing, MI.
