Larry Lee Woods

Loving husband and father was called home to Jesus April 24, 2016. Larry was born on May 7, 1955 in Portageville, Missouri to Roosevelt and Genetter (Williams) Woods. After high school graduation, he moved to Lansing, Michigan where he joined UAW local 652 and worked for General Motors for 34 years retiring in 2009. In 2014, Larry and his wife Kim moved to Sacramento, California to be close to their children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother (Genetter), son Christopher, brother Roosevelt Jr., niece Sonja, and nephew Johnny. He is survived by his wife Kim (Benjamin); by his children Larry Jr., Nakeesha (Justin) Williams, Corey, Clark (Ashley), and Charles; his grandchildren Jaylen, Juleeyan, Jaymeson, Justyce Williams, Clark II, Cinaya, Cymari, Wyatt, Larry III Woods; his father Roosevelt Sr.; and his siblings Pearlie Mitt-Cox, Estella Bailey, Mary Sheppard, William Woods, Robert Woods, Shirley Cobos, Emma Woods, Carolyn Shepard, Harold Woods, Phillip Woods, Rodney Woods; Also several special nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. A memorial visitation will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Lansing Chapel, 900 East Michigan Ave. Lansing, MI, on Wednesday May 4, 2016 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. A Memorial service will be held at Faith Wesleyan Church, 2300 Lake Lansing Road, Lansing, MI, on Thursday May 5, 2016 at 2:00 pm.
