Laura Mae Merdian

She was born Laura Mae Dalrymple, June 19, 1918 in Chillicothe, IL, a daughter of the late Harry and Bertha (Sammis) Dalrymple. She married Kenneth Merdian of Henry IL on October 4, 1937; he preceded her in death August 9, 1984. Laura was also preceded in death by three brothers, Harry Dalrymple Jr., Thomas Dalrymple, and Frank Dalrymple. Surviving to cherish her memory are 6 children, Betty Milthaler of Sarasota, Fl / Vicksburg, MI, Carol Minier of Elkhart, IN, Kathy Shaffer of Lansing, Janice (Dennis) Hudson of Lansing, Craig (Lena) Merdian of Hong Kong and Sharon (John) Andersen of Center Line, MI; 12 grandchildren, Jeff, Mark and Steve Milthaler, Bryan and Beth Minier, Ben and Nicole Hudson, David and Eric Merdian, James Andrew and Steven Andersen; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; sister Harriett Rediger of Lacon, IL. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 25, 2013 at the Church of the Resurrection, 1531 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February, 24th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a rosary at 6:30 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Laura may be made to WKAR Radio, 283 Communication Arts Bldg., E. Lansing, MI 48824 or to Resurrection School.
