Lorene Pitchford

of Laingsburg, MichiganLorene?s last wish was to go home to heaven. After telling her family that she loved them, she peacefully surrendered and went to her heavenly home on June 14, 2008 to be with her husband, Dexter; her son, Kim; her parents, James B. & Emma Williams, and her sisters and brother. She retired from Waverly Schools Transportation Dept. in 1977. She enjoyed making crafts with her friends Marge and Joanie. After retiring, she moved to the cottage on Lake 13 in Farwell, MI which became home where she loved to entertain her grandchildren.

Surviving are her 4 children, James B. (Pam) of Grand Ledge, Steven (Kaye) of Vermontville, Carl (Pam) of Laingsburg, and Sharon Murphy of Lansing; 15 grandchildren, Casey, Cody, Angela, Jeremy, Michelle, Melanie, Mike, Jason, Josh, Ben, Shane, Nate, Jenny, Jamie, and Heather; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Wednesday with services 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 19th, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing, with Pastor Gabriel P. Castillo officiating. Interment Deepdale Memorial Park. The family extends loving thanks to Dr. Omron and exceptionally caring Nurse, Michelle, for their special care to Lorene.
