Marion D. Flynn, 88, of Holt, Michigan passed away December 21, 2013. Marion was born to the late Carl and Blanche (Davenport) Simmon in Traverse City, Michigan. She was a longtime resident of Holt and was a member of Judson Memorial Baptist Church. She retired from the Management and Budget Department of the State of Michigan.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Flynn, who passed away July 24, 2002; her parents; great-granddaughter, Remington Meckstroth; sister, Jane; brother, Carl; and son-in-law, Jon Titus. Surviving to cherish her memory are son, Bill (Sue) Flynn; and daughters, Rebecca Titus, Marsha Flynn, and Dawn Bacon; and very special friend Susan Sims; grandchildren: Sheri Flynn, Carrie (Jordan) Meckstroth, Betsy Bacon, Gary Bacon, Eric, Brittany, Quinton, and Jackson Titus; great grandchildren, Braxton Robbins and Weston Meckstroth; brother, Tommy (Mary) Simmon; and sister Irene Dohm.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at the Lansing Chapel. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Ingham Co. Animal Control, the Alzheimer’s Association, or a charity of your choice. The family wishes to thank Rosewood AFC and Hometown Hospice and Healthcare.
