

Marlene Elaine Stubblefield was born on September 1, 1937 in Stanton, Michigan, the daughter of the late Mortimer and Neurldean (Miller) McKillop, and passed away on June 19, 2015 at the age of 77. Marlene was a real estate agent for 50 years in the Lansing area and a member of the “Million Dollar Club”. She was the second woman in Michigan to receive a builder’s license. She loved going to the cottage Up North, Blue Grass Festivals, camping and traveling all over the U.S. She was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary. She also enjoyed the Red Hat Society. Marlene was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Joe Stubblefield, Sr.; great granddaughter, Gracie; parents; mother and father-in-law; and sister and brother-in-law. Surviving to cherish her memory are her three sons, Joe (Therese) Stubblefield, Jr., Rick (Linda) Stubblefield and Phillip (Caryn) Stubblefield; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Mortimer (Nancy) McKillop. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. The family will receive friends from 3:00~7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2015 and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
