Martha Jane Perry

Martha Jane Perry, born April 25, 1932 passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 18, 2012 after fighting health issues for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brothers and her husband of 50 years, Keith L. Perry Sr.

She is survived by her three children Keith Jr., Danny (Cynthia) Perry, and Charlotte Schacht, five grandchildren, Brian, Steven, James, Angel and Cory, nine great grand children and three great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving her is her loving sister-in-law, Ruth Becker, and her best-friend Pat Bell (Aunt Pat) along with her many special neighbors and friends at Grange Acres in Haslett.

Her family would like to give a special thank you to the Heartland Hospice and the nurses and staff, especially her Physician Dr. Enrique Lopez whose concerned care helped her to stay in her home until the end.

Her children would also like to give a heartfelt thank you to Terrie Savoie (who called Mom her “second mom”) for her loving care and abundant patience these last five years especially since March. Had it not been for Terrie, she would not have been able to stay in her home, which was one of her greatest wishes. We love you Terrie for everything you did for mom.

In addition, a special thank you to her oldest Grandson Brian and the many “errands” and visits he made every week. We would also like to thank her other “daughter” Cindy (Dan’s wife) for all the years of helping her run errands, paying her bills, and balancing her checkbook monthly, taking her places when she could still get out, and being there when called upon.

Lastly, to our “Aunt Pat” who was a life-long friend and was always ready to try to win the next game of Skipo.

As much as we will miss you, it gives us great peace to know that you are spending your 63rd wedding anniversary today with dad. We love you Mom and will miss you always.
