Mary Beth DiSante

Growing up in Lansing to Slovak parents as one of nine children, Mary Beth later made her home in Detroit and Grosse Pointe. And then moved back to Lansing to be near relatives later in life.

In her earlier years, she was an avid golfer and bowler, and a fiercely competitive card player. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband. In her later years, Mary Beth became an enthusiastic and voracious reader often finishing several books a month.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Nick DiSante, and her son Nick, Jr. She is survived by her children Linda (Jim), Cathy (Greg), Ted, Sandi and Don; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026 at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church, 4337 W. Willow in Lansing, Michigan. Memorial donations may be made to the Capuchins in Detroit, St. Gerard Church in Lansing or a charity of your choice. To honor Mary Beth’s memory, laugh often, tell a joke, be kind, send a card, feed the birds and help someone in need - just as she always did.
