Mary graduated from St. Mary High School in Lansing in 1951. She was a cheerleader and basketball player. She loved playing golf, bowling and cards. Mary was club champion at Brook Hollow Country Club - which at one time she was part owner of. She began her career at a law office then worked for the State of Michigan in the Health Department.
Mary spent a lot of time at her villa in Siesta Key, Florida where she loved walking the beach and sharing her villa with her family and friends.
Her Catholic faith was very important to her, and she taught CCD classes at St. Mary's in Williamston for many years. She learned to play the organ and serenaded people who visited at her home. She loved hosting parties and making her famous green pistachio Jello. Above all else, she cherished her family. She loved having her grandchildren spend lots of time with her, throwing movie marathons with lots of candy. She enjoyed taking them to yard sales and simply spending quality time together.
Mary is survived by her children: Debra Losen Lewis, James (Joyce) Losen and Diane Losen Bouts; seven grandchildren: Andrea, Ricky, Jessica, Ryan, Kelly, Mary and Nikki; and nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Patrick Francis O'Malley, in 1983; and seven siblings: William, Elizabeth, Fay Fr., Jack, Barb, Joan and Dolores.
