

Michael M. Cutler, age77, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, July 21, 2017. He was born in Lansing, Michigan, December 26, 1940. He grew up in the Lansing area, graduating from Eastern High School in 1958. He worked in the retail grocery business, first, for Meijer Stores in the Canton area, and then for Thorn Apple Valley Meats, where he became an Executive Vice President in charge of plant production and sales for the western half of the United States. He loved his work and traveled extensively for the company. While employed by Thorn Apple Valley he lived in Huntersville, North Carolina, where he made many close friends and considered North Carolina his home. He especially enjoyed entertaining his family and friends at his home on Lake Norman.
Mike loved sports, especially football, NASCAR, and golf and was an avid MSU fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Frieda and Roy Andrews, daughter; Michelle Bartkowiak. Surviving are his daughters; Kim (Paul) Kirk and Christine Cutler, grandchildren; Katie (Perry) Cummins, Chris (Brandi) Kirk, Cassie Gilson, Michael Bartkowiak, Marissa Cruz, sister; Nancy (David) Crego and seven great-grandchildren. Also, special friends; Mark (Sparky) Lyon and Nathan Teeter of North Carolina.
A private graveside service will take place at Evergreen Cemetery Saturday, July 29, 2017.
