Michael Don Marshall

On June 17, 2016, our circle of family and friends lost a playful, loving soul. Mike passed away, unexpectedly, at his home. He was born in Lansing, Michigan on October 30, 1947 to Don L. and Vicki (Alida Vickman) Marshall.

Mike was a graduate of Lansing Everett High School and received his Bachelor's Degree at Michigan State University. Retired from General Motors as an electrician, he was a member of UAW 602, IBEW 665, American Legion Post 238, and the NRA. He loved the outdoors - kayaking, camping, and walking the Gulf coast beaches. From an early age, Mike had a strong worth ethic. A greater priority though, was the nurturing of lifelong friendships, where he expressed his support, kindness, and generosity. Mike embraced all of these friends as his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard Scott Marshall. He is survived by his brother, Roger (Nell); nephew, George; loving companion, Cyndy Saenz; and kitty, Bella. Mike will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Pastor Bob Carpenter officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., and Wednesday, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in his name to the American Heart Association or to a charity of one's choice. The family is being served by Tiffany Funeral Home.
