Michael retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. He opened "The Coffee Bean" coffee shops in Charlotte and Potterville, and later he sold automobiles. He was a member of the Alano Club West where he had many friends. He enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley-Davidson, reading, spending time at his cabin in Pentwater, and being a history buff.
Surviving are his 2 sons, Michael J. Mesler, and Jason M. (Erin) Warriner; 2 grandchildren, Avery and Emmi Warriner; brother, Vern J. (Nan Jackson) Mesler; and many other family members and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred M. & Vernon J. Mesler, Sr.; sister, Rose M. Kempf; 2 brothers, Joseph F. and David J. Mesler.
A Celebration Gathering of Michael's life will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 16, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing, MI.
