Moises V. Garcia Sr.

Moises V. Garcia, Sr., 81, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in Lansing, Michigan. Born July 9, 1936 in Alice, Texas to Pedro and Francisca (Villarreal) Garcia, Moises was a gifted cook and was known for his brisket. He loved everything MSU, and worked there for over 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jose Villarreal; great-grandson, Jose Valdez Jr. and his daughter-in-law, Linda Garcia.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Maria (Saenz) Garcia; his daughters, Lupe Maldonado, Maria (Ray)Denson, and Minerva (Patrick) Goggins; his sons, Moises Garcia Jr., Mario Garcia, Miguel Garcia, Manuel Garcia, Joel (Mary) Garcia, and Raul (Shannon) Garcia; 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Lydia Ramos, Maria Cabavos, Gloria Nunez, Theresa Martinez, and Lamar Silva; and his brothers, Adonis Garcia, Jose Garcia.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 and one hour prior to the service. All services will take place at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing Michigan 48912.
