im Monica's daughter, Anne Marie. its been almost 9 years since her passing, im now 14 and i was 5 when she passed. i didnt know her well but she was a very overprotective mom of her kids and would do anything for us, im glad i was able to spend 5 years of my life with my mother before she passed away, i hope she is in a better place.

During this time of great sorrow, may it comfort you to know that others are deeply touched by your loss. I, too, know the pain of losing someone dear. Even though our hearts are broken, rest assured that our Grand Creator cares about you personally (1 Peter 5:7) and can help you through this difficult time. Revelation 21:4 speaks of a time soon when God will do away with death forever. There will be no more sorrow, heartache, or pain. I'll never forget the special childhood memories. I remember when we had a surprise 12th birthday party at the Beaverton Bowling alley! We even shared birthday wishes when we turned 40! When you called me after all of these years and found me through Facebook, it was like we picked up where we left off. It was so easy to talk. I'm grateful for the chance to reconnect again these past few years. I miss you so much! I know your in Heaven with the angels, but it's just too soon. Beautiful and well said Nicola! That is also one of my fondest memories, so I'll add it here. How we'd laugh and cry together and how close we all were. Maybe one day we will still all get to be together in that same room. Until then, Nicola and others will watch over the Bi-Polar Support Group. Dear Dakota, Amber, and Anne,

Please know that I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. One thing I know for sure...your mom certainly loves you more than words can express. She believed in you every single day and will be watching over you as you continue to learn and grow.

Monica had a way of making you feel "safe" enough to talk to her. Many of us with bipolar disorder have trust issues. She was a beautiful person who would talk with you for as long as you needed a friend, sometimes that was late at night.

jeeze Monica where do I begin ??? yesterday I cried a river today the sorrow is still there but I think of the treasured memories I'll keep Monica referred to me as having sound logic thinking umm I've certainly lost that at the moment but hey we both bounced like that she gave me confidence and i inturn returned that favour when needed.Our time difference didn't keep us apart as usual we chat about everything and nothing ( that's how we rolled ) as part of our support group we gelled as Admins keep our faithful watch but we laughed about all being in the same room what a ball we could have had maybe one day ............ but one thing i know she loved her babies unconditionally , Brent and her family too .knowing she'll be reunited with her grandmother gives me comfort.Monica i think you'll understand i need to nip back to the group but keep watch from above our legend, angel and inspiration rest well my love miss you and hugz babes loves you.may life be kind to your loved ones

Monk was an incredibly special friend to me. She encouraged and loved me through so much and was there to enjoy my happiest moments too. One evening, during the heat of July 2012, Monica saved my life. I was in a very dark place, about to take the plunge into darkness when I allowed her to call me. She talked to me and begged me to call 911, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. She then begged for me to give me my address and for her to call for me. After several minutes, I allowed her to do so with the promise they would come without sirens or lights. She agreed. We hung up, she called and then called me back to keep me talking until the cops and ambulance got there. When they did, she talked to one of the cops, got back on the phone with me, told me she loved me and wished me good luck.

I will never forget that evening as it is forever burned into my memory. A special bond was created that night and that bond stayed. 

Monica will always hold a special place in my heart and I will strive to be the person she was: caring, loving, funny, special, beautiful, a good mom, a good partner, a good friend. She will be sorely missed, but forever in my heart.

One of my closest friends, her voice on the phone lifted my spirits, She made and sent me dresses, after I admired her handiwork! I love her, she was my friend, my confidant, and she saved me.

Monica was a special woman. She was a caregiver for my husband, Ken, several years ago. Ken had multiple sclerosis and was in a chair. She loved Ken and enjoyed making him laugh. I always appreciated her tender heart and her bright smile. I remembr when little Annie was born and what a beautiful baby she was. I've had the pleasure of spending time with her beautiful children, Annie, Dakota and Amber and they will be much in my prayers. Dear Monica, I know you are now in heaven and are reunited with loved ones, including my dear Ken. May all of us surround and support her family now and into the future.

I didn't know "Monk" very well but I knew her from the bipolar support group. She was so kind and caring and always there when you needed a friend even in her busy life! In July of 2013, I was in a dark place. I'm a member of the support group Monica helped start. She got ahold of my phone number and called me to talk me down from the ledge. She begged me to call 911, but I couldn't bring myself to call. After begging me, I have her my address and she called for me. She then called me back and stayed on the phone with me until the cops and ambulance got there. She even talked to one of the cops just to be sure before saying good night to me. 
 
I will never forget that night; it is forever burned into my memory. She has helped me several times since and became a much beloved friend. 
 
I will miss her terribly. I know our whole online community will. This Earth lost an angel. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time. Monica was a special person and she was loved by many.
