It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Nan Graye (Myers) Murray, who passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the age of 85 in Lansing, Michigan.
Nan was born on January 30, 1940, to Emery Earl Myers and Fannie Graye (Hunter) Myers. She is survived by her three children, Nancy Litwiller (Brett), Sharon Murray-Swanson, and David Murray (Melanie); seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her brother, Richard (Janice) Myers.
In addition to her years devoted to raising her family, Nan retired from Michigan State University. Throughout her life, she was a talented artist with a creative spirit and a joyful sense of humor. She was even a contestant on the game show Concentration, where she won several prizes, and she proudly appeared as an extra in the motion picture Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Nan will be remembered for her fun-loving nature, sharp wit, and the warmth she brought to everyone around her.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Buddies Grill 2040 N Aurelius Rd Holt, MI 48842 from 12:00 - 3:00 pm. A luncheon will be served.
If you wish to honor her memory, donations may be made to The Mother Teresa House, 308 N. Walnut St., Lansing, MI 48933. The Mother Teresa House provided extraordinary care and compassion to Nan in her final days, and her family is deeply grateful for their support.
