Jean was the youngest of 9 children growing up, so she was quite the firecracker and was never afraid to stand up for herself and speak her mind. She married the love of her life, Gerald “Jerry” Haskins, in 1970. They loved to travel together and even made it to all 50 states, whether that be driving, flying, trains or going on cruises. Jean enjoyed bowling and was on a bowling league for a number of years. She was a strong, loving person and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Jean was the beloved wife of the late Gerald Haskins; loving mother of Darla Oakley; cherished grandmother of Jon (Terra) Dalton and Benjamin (Julie) Dalton; great grandmother of Kendal and Jackson; and dear sister of the late Rose, Beatrice, Grace, Alan, Gail, Homer, Ray and Ora.
A visitation for Jean will be held on Wednesday, October 26 from 10:00am until the time of the service at 11:00am at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home 900 E. Michigan Ave Lansing, MI 48912. Interment will be private.
