Robert Allan Cole

Robert Allan Cole was born May 1, 1945 in Lansing, Michigan to the union of Harold A. Cole and Ruth L. Nellis Cole. He was the youngest of six children. On June 9, 2021 Robert was surrounded by his loving family when he went home to be with the Lord. He was a faithful member of Abundant Grace Faith Church, pastored by Louis Dixon, and was devoted to his church family, serving as lead usher for many years.
Robert Graduated from Sexton High School, attended college and retired from the Lansing School District. He loved his family and was proud of his children. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and delighted in sharing Christmas with them. Robert enjoyed riding his motorcycle through the countryside, classic cars and photography. He also loved do-it-yourself home projects, bicycle rides, walks with his wife, and the beach.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Gwendolyn Bell Cole; his sister, Trudy (Loyd) Wood; his children, Brian Cole, Robby (Margaret) Cole, Shelly (Grant) Day, Kelly (Charles) Miller, Calene (Ryan) Webster, Caleb Cole; and his grandchildren, Brian, Grant, Garrett, Meghan, Chase, Jaylin, Faith, Nehemiah, Isaiah, Calee, and Carson; and his lifelong friend, George (Sharon) Kirkby. He will also be greatly missed by his stepsons, Marlon (Tamika) Bell and Anthony Smart, as well as, many more family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Bud, Pete, Gloria, and Ronny; and grandchildren, Blake and Cameron.
A memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Abundant Grace Faith Church, 5750 South Cedar Street, Lansing, Michigan 48910
